We move at the crossroads of body, earth, and community.
Luke completed his yoga teacher training in 2018 and has been guiding dynamic vinyasa flow practices ever since. In addition to teaching yoga, he is a certified personal trainer and has worked as a Performance Specialist at leading training facilities in Santa Barbara.
Transdisciplinary by nature, Luke weaves together diverse movement practices, creating classes that are both integrative and adaptable. His approach is informed by a Master’s degree in Depth and Eco-Psychology, as well as his experience developing and leading youth garden education programs across California.
He is deeply interested in the body as a microcosm of the Earth, exploring the interplay between structure and freedom through movement. His travels and varied pursuits have shaped a broad, nuanced perspective, drawing from fields as diverse as soil science to biomechanics.
In 2014, Amelia completed her 200 hour teacher training with Ryan Besler and has since pursued advanced studies in trauma informed teaching, mixed movement, intuitive flow, Reiki and TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises). She balances the flow and fluidity of her yoga practice with the fire of her work as a kickboxing instructor. She also holds a B.A. in Studio Art and enjoys creatively weaving together her classes. She views her classes as a co-creation, in which she holds space for students to hold themselves, leading to a deeper sense of embodiment.
Amelia has over ten years of experience in the yoga and wellness industries, managing multiple studios, organizing community centered events, and collaborating with companies, brands, and organizations to decentralize wellness and promote inclusivity. She has experience teaching in addiction rehabilitation centers, where she offers classes grounded in a trauma aware and compassionate approach. Amelia has also led multiple international retreats and taught in various countries, bringing a global and culturally aware perspective to her work.
Brooke is a comprehensively certified Pilates instructor through Body Arts and Science International (BASI, 2007) and a 200-hour registered yoga teacher (2013). With over 15 years of experience, her work blends Pilates, yoga, and somatic practices to support strength, awareness, and connection within the body. She began practicing yoga at a young age alongside her mother, including time spent in retreat with her mother’s teacher, Baba Hari Das—an influence that continues to inform her grounded and light-hearted approach.
With a background as a collegiate athlete focused on strength and power, Brooke was drawn to Pilates for its depth and nuance. Her teaching reflects a continued curiosity about how movement patterns evolve, offering an individualized and supportive experience that helps people move with greater ease and clarity. Based in Montecito, California, she teaches at La Playa Pilates Studio and leads retreats that offer a calm, supportive space to reconnect and feel more at home in the body.
